If we talk about pioneering artistic groups in art, “Power Peralta” stands out in the Chilean and international circuit of Hip Hop Dance. Formed in 2006 in New York city by the twins brothers Raúl y Gabriel Peralta, this duet has turned into a referent of urban dancing because of its technique, effort, performance and passion.
These brothers were precursors of Street Dancing in Chile and during the last five years have performed on hundreds of local shows and have made television appearances. They have represented the hymn of the Teleton, they have been in advertising and they made a performance at the first version of Lollapaloza Chile.
The excellent level of their technique and they professionalism has made them present their show in Chile and other countries , where they also present master classes, motivational talks and created their own dance academy: “Power Peralta Dance Studio”. Founded in 2011, this academy teaches dancers under the highest standards of hard work, versatility and professionalism. Their message “Dance for everyone” has motivated Chileans to dance no matter how old you are or your physical condition, because they teach dancing to everyone who has a passion for movement and expression through the body.
Their hard working got them selected by the actress, singer and dancer Jennifer Lopez during 2012 to participate of her project “Q’ Viva The Chosen”, a reality show she produced with Mark Anthony focused on searching for the most talented artist in 21 countries of Latin America to be part of a show directed by the artistic director Jamie King at the Mandala Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, USA. The Chilean duet was one of the winners of this competition, which got them signed with Cirque Du Soleil on October of 2012 to be part of their new creation “Michael Jackson: One”, becoming the first Chilean dancers to be a part of this prestigious company. This show is also directed by Jamie King and it’s presented 10 times per week at the theater of the Resort and Casino Mandalay Bay in Vegas, where they live today.
The Peralta brothers have worked with some of the most important choreographs, such as Travis Payne, Rich and Tone, Liz Imperio, Free Crawford and Parris Goebel. Their performance and dedication to the dance has led them to be ambassadors of the brand ADIDAS Original, G-Shock watches of Casio, Sony and New Era Cap, developing with them several advertising campaigns.
The 2013 Power Peralta was chosen to participate in “Whatever It Takes”, a campaign organized by 21st Century Leaders that seeks to raise funds with the help of international personalities that must be committed to do “whatever it takes” to help with the causes like preservation of biodiversity and the promotion of music and the arts.
